Coronavirus Interview with Dr. Lane

Coronavirus Interview with Dr. Lane

How can Jackson County, Wi prepare for the coronavirus?I sit down with Dr. Kirk Lane and ask him myself. Dr. Lane taught me these things:#1 – Don’t panic. Don’t buy everything off the shelves. Don’t hoard all of our local resources for yourself. Now is NOT the time to panic and be selfish. It’s a time to be calm and to support one another.#2 – Take this virus seriously. It can spread easily. So let's do our part to wash hands and practice social distancing. We don't want everyone in our community getting sick at the same time. That's when clinics get overrun.#3 – If you have symptoms, CALL FIRST. Don’t simply show up at a clinic or hospital. CALL FIRST.#4 – If you’re short on food/supplies, call our local food bank in Black River Falls. Even though this can be scary and/or frustrating, let’s use this as an opportunity to support each other, to be a good neighbor, and to keep each other safe!
