About this physician:

Dr. Leonardo was inspired to pursue rural medicine after serving in the Peace Corps for two years. She earned her Medical Doctorate and her Master of Public Health from the University of Kansas. A Los Angeles native, she has recently moved from Las Cruces, where she was the chief resident at the Southern New Mexico Family Medicine Residency Program. Throughout her medical education, she has played instrumental roles in various organizations aimed at approaching the whole health of a patient through environmental, nutritional, and cultural understanding. Dr. Leonardo is passionate about obstetrics, dermatology, scopes, and preventive medicine, and she enjoys seeing patients of all ages.

In her free time, Dr. Leonardo enjoys traveling, rock climbing, mountaineering, piano playing, SCUBA diving, flying, arts & crafts, and trying new local foods and beverages.

Coming from a long line of educators, Dr. Leonardo is looking forward to the opportunity to teach and empower her patients while learning alongside them and her professional peers to best serve the community of Black River Falls.
