>> Nursing Home

The doctors at Krohn Clinic take pride in providing care for our patients throughout all stages of their lives. As family physicians, we appreciate the amazing circle of life. We enjoy the opportunity of helping new parents welcome their first child into their lives. We also enjoy caring for family members at the other end of the life cycle. We provide medical services to our patients that are no longer able to live independently. Our physicians make rounds at both of the long term care facilities in Black River Falls. By caring for your family members in the facility that is now their “home,” your loved ones do not need to go through the effort of traveling to and from their doctor’s office. We work closely with the nursing staff of each facility to ensure that we are aware of all the complex issues facing these individuals at a time when they are most vulnerable.

>> Spanish Services

We strive to provide full spectrum care, including prenatal, neonatal, pediatric, adult medicine and urgent care in a culturally sensitive, Spanish-speaking environment for our Latino patients. In this manner, a patient’s concerns and needs can be more fully explored, and subsequently met. Krohn Clinic has several providers who are functionally fluent in Spanish.

>> Sports Medicine

Our Black River Sports Medicine Team is a group of physicians, physical therapists, and certified athletic trainers providing their services for Sports Medicine coverage to local high school athletes. The focus of the program has been on those sports with high injury rates such as football, wrestling and hockey. Since its inception in 1999, thousands of students and their families have benefited from the program.

Services provided include: medical staff game coverage, supplies, and a lump and bump screening clinic at the Black River Memorial Hospital Rehab Department for student athletes injured at practice. Concussion prevention, testing and treatment are stressed.

>> Behavioral Health

Krohn Clinic is staffed with a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and one certified counselors who are specially trained to provide care for a variety of mental health needs. Most behavioral health problems are handled by your primary care provider. On those occasions when further evaluation or counseling is needed, our team will work together to get you comprehensive care at the clinic.

Outpatient services for children (ages 7+), adolescents, adults, and families with serious mental illness who are currently in crisis, struggling with life changes (loss of job, death, separation, aging), and experiencing mental health symptoms (depression, anxiety, mood changes). Services include consultation, diagnostic assessment, psychiatric and psychological evaluation, individual and family therapy along with medication therapy. Our clinic also provides resources and referrals within the county and beyond, depending on your or your family's individual mental health needs (resources such as inpatient treatment, crisis intervention, case management, along with educational and employability services.)
