Health Information Manager
Krohn Clinic is looking for a motivated and energetic leader to serve as our Health Information Management Department Manager. First and foremost, this position needs someone who values the opportunity and has the skill set to support leading a group of highly gifted and dedicated employees. The department is undergoing development as we transition in this exciting age of medicine and electronic medical records and technology, while maintaining our primary commitment to the healthcare of our patients and community.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supervises the release of information to persons and agencies according to regulations.
• Supervises document management in the medical record ensuring information is accurate and complete in the electronic medical record and completed in a timely manner.
• Supervise staff in scheduling referral appointments with appropriate outside facilities for patients as requested by their primary provider.
• Responsible for ongoing reviews and supervision of employees within the HIM department.
• Works closing with coding to ensure complete documentation in chart for coding.
• Remains current regarding HIPPA and other governmental, federal, state and local regulations and compliance in the medical office (Clinic), document management, coding, and billing guidelines.
• Be able to work in all positions within the department on a routine basis.

Education/Experience:

Physical/Mental Demands: Work is performed in a pleasant office environment. This is a full-time position with hours of work that are generally during regular business hours. There will be some variation in work hours due to employee shift schedules, special projects, deadlines, employee and clinic needs, and other concerns.
